Matthew Gunst

Hometown: Hartford, WI
Major: Animal Science; Agricultural Communication and Marketing
Graduation: Spring 2024

Matthew grew up on his family’s farm outside of Hartford, WI, where they crop 300 acres and raise dairy heifers for local, state, and national shows. He was very involved in 4-H and FFA, especially in dairy cattle judging, and recently finished serving as the Chairman of the Wisconsin Holstein Association’s Junior Activities Committee. On campus, he is involved as a member of the Agriculture Business Club, National Agrimarketing Association, and Gopher Dairy Club. DTS was the choice for Matthew because of the strong brotherhood that has made the house a home away from home. He is grateful for the close relationships and connections that he has made, and looks forward to his next two years in the house. Matthew has also served as the Treasurer for the past two semesters. After graduation, Matthew plans on pursuing a career in marketing and communication of agriculture products and sales, and also wishes to continue to raise and develop competitive dairy show cattle.
