Isaac Nelson

Isaac was raised on his family’s 150 cow, Registered Holstein dairy farm right outside of Sleepy Eye. He has been actively involved in his family’s farm and started his own herd that now consists of over 8 heifers and 5 milking cows. On campus Isaac is involved in the Agriculture Business Club, Officer at Large of the Gopher Dairy Club, and President of Delta Theta Sigma Fraternity. Isaac said he joined DTS because it is a doorway into meeting fellow CFANS majors, providing ample opportunity for meeting Ag professionals and faculty at the University of Minnesota. Upon graduating from the U of M, he plans to earn his cheesemaking license through UW-Madison before opening a creamery on his family farm.
